This post and giveaway is sponsored by Sweet Relish. Thanks, Sweet Relish!
When I was making my baby registry for Madeline, I remember being a bit frustrated at my options. There wasn’t any one store that could really encompass all the things I wanted for her. I wanted bedding from one store, curtains from Etsy, clothes from an online boutique. I ended up registering at two different places, and while I was obviously extremely grateful for everyone’s kind gifts, I always wistfully thought about the items that had first stolen my heart.
If I were making a registry for The Acrobat, I would use Sweet Relish. When I first heard about it I was like, “Been there. Done that.” But then I tried it and realized how awesome it is. Unlike some of the other social sites out there, Sweet Relish is about curating things you can buy, not things you want to make or inspire you. After you sign up for Sweet Relish, you make lists of topics and start adding things to your lists with the Relish button.
It’s so easy. I wish I’d heard about it before Annie’s birthday party. I could have put all the things I needed to buy on a list! Or before Christmas, I could have made a list for every person I was shopping for! But since I am not planning a party or shopping for the holidays, I’ve focused my energy on making a list about my pregnancy must-haves, which you can look at here:
Some of it is stuff I have and would recommend to other pregnant friends, some is stuff I want to get myself, and some are things I’ve found that I want to get The Acrobat. I will actually start him his own list once I get past 24 weeks gestation. My history makes me a little paranoid! I’ve been having fun adding things to my list.
The thing I like the most about Sweet Relish lists is that you can buy the item directly from them. So, when my mom inevitably asks me for some ideas for the baby, I can just send her links to these lists. She won’t have to go down a rabbit hole of links like she would at some of the other curation sites out there. And, before she even clicks through on an item, she’ll know how much it costs. She will definitely appreciate that.
I would love to follow some of you on Sweet Relish! If you join and leave me a comment with a link to your lists/profile below, I will pick one of you to win a Relish Box full of neat little samples and goodies. Leave a comment with your link by Feb 13 and I’ll announce the winner on Feb 15 (and I’ll feature some of the cool things you’ve relished – especially great pregnancy and baby things!).
Have fun Relishing!

I just signed up with them and am using it for my baby registry. We found out we’re having a boy in June, after having a 2.5yo daughter I’m not exactly sure what I’m in for – hahaha! But online window shopping for baby boy stuff has been fun!

I’m not sure if that link will work, but I’m signed up under the same email that I listed in this comment.

What a great concept! Thanks for sharing!!! As I’m not expecting, I won’t add a link so that some excited mama out there has 1 less person to compete with
Plus, I haven’t set up a Relish profile yet but I will. If only to dream!

This is actually pretty useful. We are having a girl in just over a month and it was difficult deciding where to register. I wish I would have known about this sooner. Better late than never.

Cool concept! I experienced a few glitches with the site (runs slow, some links don’t work). I do think I’ll be using it to help with some party planning purchases, though.
